Canada Council for the Arts
Canada Council for the Arts is the national arts funding agency. This site provides information about the council’s grants to media artists, including travel grants, and grants available to aboriginal media artists. The council also administers a number of important awards and prizes.
Community Arts Councils
A number of municipalities and regions in Ontario have arts councils which are involved in encouraging and promoting local arts and cultural activities, and funding local organizations. Some offer grants or awards for artists. All have information of interest to local artists:

Cultural Human Resources Council (CHRC)
The CHRC offers a comprehensive guide of the most important awards and prizes given by Canadian organizations for which artists working in film and television may be eligible.
Ontario Arts Council (OAC)
OAC is the province’s primary funding body for professional arts activity. This site has information about project grants that may be available to individual artists. The OAC also administers a number of important awards and prizes.
Ontario Media Development Corporation (OMDC)
The OMDC Interactive Digital Media Fund is designed to provide Ontario interactive digital media contentcompanies with access to funding needed to move their proprietary projects into production. OMDC also administers the Ontario Interactive Digital Media Tax Credit.
The Actors' Fund of Canada
The Actors’ Fund of Canada is a charity, established in 1958, that provides financial assistance to performing arts and entertainment industry professionals who are in crisis.
